Bryce and Shaq
Mike took Bryce to the LSU basketball game today. They saw Shaquille O'Neal and Tyrus Thomas (one of my former students) coming out of the locker room. Both of them agreed to take pictures with Bryce. Here's the one with Shaq. Mike took it with his phone, so it's not a good picture.

My "office"

We don't have room for a desk in our living room or in our bedroom, so the computer is in an armoire in the bedroom. It sucks. To use this computer, I have to sit on the floor to work. I do have a laptop, which I use most of the time at the kitchen table. In my next house, I will have an office with a regular desk!

Today we bought an upright freezer to keep in the laundry room. I can finally start freezing left overs for Blaine to take to the fire station. Also, I'll have room for deer meat and fish!

Brownies anyone?
At 4:30am, I baked brownies for my students. They deserved a treat for working so hard for my substitute while I was on sick leave. Note: this is only the first batch. I ran out of mix and eggs, so I'll make another three sheets of brownies tonight. I have 130 students, so when I bake for them, I usually make 6 half sheets of brownies. It's amazing what teenagers will do for food. LOL

Recliner Time
Another recliner picture, but I just had to post this one. Whenever Blaine isn't working overnight at the fire station, he puts Fenn to sleep in the recliner. All Blaine has to say is, "Let's get in our spot," and Fenn goes to the chair. Notice the feet.

Easter 2000
I couldn't let everyone just see my mom the way she is today, so I am posting this picture of the two of us. It was taken Easter Sunday in 2000. It just goes to show you how fast Alzheimer's progresses. She was so beautiful!
Happy Birthday Mama!
I went to see my mom for her birthday. I was so happy because she had her eyes open and she was alert. I couldn't get her to say anything, but she did squeeze my hand. She turned 61 years old today.
A camera makes a difference
I can't believe how much difference a camera makes in a picture. Of the pictures from this week, the only picture taken with my good camera (Cannon Rebel XT) is the one of Bryce. All of the other pictures were either taken with my old Olympus digital or Blaine's Sanyo digital. I keep my Olympus in my purse because it's small and easy to carry around with me on a regular basis. I use my Cannon for 90% of my pictures, but it's too large to fit in my purse. Anyway, I just thought I would ramble for a moment. It's 3:30am and I'm tired. Fenn woke up and once I got him back to sleep, I was wide awake. I hate when that happens.
Today is my mom's birthday. I want to get a picture of her for today. I just hope I can get her to open her eyes when I go see her later on this afternoon. I'll post a picture of her later.
